The “South Park” creators probably have a reason for seeming less angry these days.

Back in 1992, Trey Parker and Matt Stone were two film students at the University of Colorado who used construction paper cutouts to make an animated short about four foul-mouthed little boys. In the 24 years since then, Parker and Stone have managed to build their little creation into an empire worth well north of a quarter billion dollars.

As of 2016, both Parker and Stone have a net worth of around $350 million each — probably helped by their recent musical, “The Book Of Mormon,” which was one of the biggest Broadway successes of the last several years.

“South Park” is still going strong after 20 seasons, which means this number will only continue to rise.
