One of the biggest reveals of E3 was the highly rumored new Assassin’s Creed. Rumors had set the scene to be in ancient Egypt, and those rumors proved to be true. What no one saw coming was the story completely breaking away from any previous Assassin’s Creed game. The setting of the game revolves around the founding of the Assassin’s Brotherhood, something never truly explored in previous games.

On top of that, the gameplay has shifted away from the timing system of old and taken on the feel of a traditional RPG. Skill trees will help you determine the Assassin you want to play, whether that be a stealthy hunter, a brawler, an archer or many others. The parkour movement the series is known for will still be there, and the return to a time not steeped in rifles and such weaponry is widely anticipated by avid fans of the series. The trailer promised much, even such things as a Basilisk, proving that they are truly turning the game into an imaginative exploration of mysticism.

As a much needed redo of a series becoming stagnant, Assassin’s Creed Origins will release October 27th.

5. Star Wars Battlefront 2

20 2

Battlefront 2 is the conclusion to the very successful game of the same title from last year. It promises higher resolution graphics, and a new story that follows a Special Ops Stormtrooper and other characters from Star Warsthat we know and love. On top of that, the same intense online multiplayer features will make a reappearance with all new maps, factions, and weaponry. The panel from E3 promised more playable characters from the original series as well, which should keep the multiplayer fresh for far longer than the previous title did. Star Wars Battlefront 2 is slated for a November release date on the Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.
