“The Crown” combines political claim with opulent costume drama. The series is set to tell the life story of Queen Elizabeth II in seasons 6 – from the newly married 25-year-olds to the seasoned monarch of the present. Each season marks a new decade in Queen’s life, with a changing cast. In addition to the elaborate set and costume design, the British biopic convinces by an excellent ensemble cast around Claire Foy, Matt Smith and Jared Harris.
