Benjamin Levi Madden Combs was born on 11th of March, 1979, in Waldorf, Maryland. He has a number of side projects including the bands Dead Executives and Taint. He also co-wrote or produced some of the songs on Hilary Duff’s “Most Wanted” album.

After high school, the two brothers  with high school friends decided to form a band called Good Charlotte. The band released its eponymous debut in 2000. 

This album went gold, selling 500,000 copies in the US. They were launched to the stratosphere after the release of their second album, 2002’s The Young and the Hopeless. This album sold more than 5 million copies worldwide.

As of this writing, the band has released a total of seven albums and has sold 10 million copies worldwide.
