After Snipes graduated from Jones High School in Orlando, he returned to New York and attended the State University of New York at Purchase. He also attended Southwest College in Los Angeles, California.

Wesley Trent Snipes was born in Orlando, Florida on July 31, 1962. He has starred in dozens of popular films during his career. Some of his movies are “White Men Can’t Jump”, “Waiting to Exhale”, the “Blade” trilogy, “Rising Sun”, and “Demolition Man”.

He is perhaps best known for the Marvel Comics character “Blade” in the Blade film trilogy. It was at the age of 23 that Snipes was discovered by an agent while performing in a martial arts competition.

Snipes made his feature film debut in the 1986 Goldie Hawn movie Wildcats. He eventually went on to star in such films as: Major League (1989), Passenger 57 (1992), Boiling Point (1993), Money Train (1995), U.S. Marshals (1998), Murder at 1600 (1997), Liberty Stands Still (2001), 7 Seconds (2005) and Brooklyn’s Finest (2009) among many others.

In 2014, he appeared in The Expendables 3. Apart from starring in movies, Snipes is a world-class martial artist with a 5th degree black belt in karate and significant experience in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

From December 2010 to April 2013, Wesley Snipes served 845 days in federal prison in McKean County, Pennsylvania, stemming from a tax evasion conviction. He served 90% of his three year sentence.
