Born Benjamin Todd Roethlisberger on March 2, 1982, in Lima, Ohio. his parents are Ida Jane Foust and Kenneth Todd Roethlisberger, a former quarterback. He has a younger called sister Carlee. His parents separated when he was just two. He was raised by his father and stepmother, as his mother died in a car crash when he was eight.

At a young age, Ben became active in sports, and played football and  basketball. He was the captain of the football, basketball, and baseball teams at Findlay High School, Ohio. He was the No. 1 quarterback when he was in final high school season in 1999.

Career

Ben is most widely known as the quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers team of the National Football League (NFL) since 2004. Ben became the youngest Super Bowl-winning Quarterback in the history of the NFL, as he led the Steelers to victory in his second professional season, the game ended 21-10 against the Seattle Seahawks at the age of 23. He has been one of the most accurate and efficient passers in the history of NFL. As a starter in the regular season, he has the fourth highest career winning percentage at .710 in the regular season among quarterbacks with a minimum of 100 starts. He is known for playing outside the pocket, he calls this “backyard football”. Ben has often been compared to John Elway, whom he grew up idolizing. In fact, Roethlisberger wears jersey number 7 in Elway’s honor. He suffered a serious motorcycle accident in 2006.
