To qualify for the scholarship award an:
- Applicants must be indigenes of Akwa Ibom
- Applicants must be enrolled in a public institution of higher learning anywhere in Nigeria.
- Applicants must be undergraduate students.
- Applicant must be registered for the semester the scholarship is granted.
- Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 undergraduate or a High School GPA of 3.5 (on a 5.0 scale) for first-year undergraduates.
