The O. B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation was established in 2001 to honor the philanthropic legacy of High Chief (Dr.) O. B. Lulu-Briggs. Founded by his wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Seinye O. B. Lulu-Briggs, the Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for underprivileged individuals, particularly in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. It operates with a mission to deliver sustainable interventions that address critical social, health, and economic challenges faced by vulnerable communities.
The Foundation’s work is centered around five key programs. The Care for Life initiative focuses on providing support to the elderly, ensuring they live with dignity and access to basic necessities. The Free Medical Missions program addresses the healthcare gap by offering free medical services and health awareness campaigns to underserved communities. Recognizing the importance of clean water and sanitation, the Foundation also runs an Access to Clean Water and Sanitation program to promote health and hygiene.

The O. B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation is a beacon of hope for vulnerable populations, particularly in Nigeria’s Niger Delta, where it addresses systemic challenges such as poverty, inadequate healthcare, and lack of access to clean water. Over the years, the Foundation has built a reputation for its impactful and compassionate interventions, which are tailored to meet the unique needs of the communities it serves.
As it continues to expand its reach, the O. B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation remains committed to its founding principles of compassion, excellence, and service. It stands as a testament to how targeted and well-executed philanthropic efforts can create lasting change, uplift communities, and inspire hope for a better future.
Education is a cornerstone of the Foundation’s mission. Through its Education and Scholarships program, it provides financial assistance and scholarships to students, including grants for the Nigerian Law School, empowering individuals through education. Additionally, the Microcredit and Entrepreneurship program fosters economic empowerment by offering microfinance loans and training to promote self-reliance and entrepreneurship among underprivileged populations.
The Foundation’s impact is amplified through partnerships with medical professionals, volunteers, and corporate entities, including Moni Pulo Limited and local healthcare institutions. Its focus on the Niger Delta region—a historically marginalized area facing environmental and developmental challenges—has made a significant difference in improving the lives of its residents.
Guided by values of selflessness, excellence, and punctuality, the O. B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation continues to empower communities and transform lives.
