Study In South Korea: 2022 Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) Scholarships

Applications are invited for the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) Scholarships which will be awarded to individuals who are willing to undergo a degree program in South Korea.

KAIST Scholarships are very competitive and once a student is selected by KAIST, his/her tuition fee is waived off and he/she will get a scholarship based on KAIST policies.

Eligibility for the Korean Advanced Institute Of Science And Technology :

• Applicants must be proficient in English Language
• Applicants must maintain GPA over 2.7 out of 4.3 at KAIST after their freshman year.

Application Deadline: 

• Early: 22nd October 2021
• Regular: 14th January 2022
• Late: 27th May 2022
• Please note that the dates for Admission Announcement are subject to change.
• Submit your completed application and documents by 5:00 p.m.(KST) on the application deadline.
• Interview is NOT required for all applicants. Applicants will be contacted through individual email if an interview is necessary.
• After you pay the application fee, you are not allowed to change your application track (i.e: from Early to Regular or Late).

Method of Application:

• There is no separate process for applying scholarship. Just check “KAIST scholarship” on the Statement of Financial Resources section on online application for admission.
• Interested candidates should refer to the guidelines here to prepare for required documents in detail.
• Payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer after writing application form online. Additional charges (i.e. bank charges) should be covered by applicants. Please note that application fee is non-refundable and you cannot modify application form once you pay the application fee.
• If you choose to do “bank transfer”, it may take up to 3~7 business days to confirm your fund receival on our side, thus we do not recommend you to do it in the last week of its deadline. (It is the applicants responsibility to make a successful payment and acquire the application number before its due)
