All of the following will be provided by the university:
- The three levels of the Belt and Road International Students Scholarship in Xi’an City.
- First-level winners get living stipends, are excused from paying housing costs, and are not required to pay tuition.

Eligibility Criteria for the Xi’an City International Students Scholarship at Northwestern Polytechnical University
All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Xi’an City International Students Scholarship:
- Optimal physical and mental well-being (no infectious or physical or mental diseases affecting normal study).
- Before September 1, 2023, applicants who are applying to undergraduate programs must have a high school diploma and be under 30. Candidates seeking admission to the Master’s program should be under 35 on or before September 1, 2023, and possess a bachelor’s degree certificate. Before September 1, 2023, applicants for admission to the PhD program must have a Master’s degree certificate and not be older than 40.
- Candidates should perform well academically and have strong learning skills. An average score of 75% and above is required, equivalent to the preceding academic grade level.
- NPU also accepts the internationally recognized exams SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, IB, IGCSE, WAEC, GED, GRE, and GMAT.
- Language proficiency requirements: Candidates must fulfill the application and admission standards in Chinese and English.
- The candidates must be foreign nationals with current passports.
- In addition to the two-year “evidence of residency” in the previous four years, candidates who were once Chinese nationals but afterwards emigrated to other nations must have held their present passports or citizenship certificates for at least four years.
