The second leg of the Copa del Rey quarter-final tie between Barça and the reigning league and cup holders Atlético Madrid was finely poised after a 2-2 draw in the first leg at the Vicente Calderón. Nobody could have been prepared for the madness that was about to erupt on that March evening. A first half hat-trick from Pantic put Atlético in control. Six minutes into the second and they led 4-1, Pantic finding the net yet again. However, a hat-trick from Ronaldo and a late winner from Pizzi saw Barça pull off one of the most remarkable comebacks in Camp Nou history.
