6. Sharon Stone – Basic Instinct

Sharon Stone was typically described as “a babe”, and portrayed stereotypical leggy blondes who often misbehaved. Then she eternally scorched the earth with her “Basic Instinct”, stone cold portrayal of Catherine, a bisexual, psychotic killer who had undetectable skills for influencing control over both men and women. She was deadly as her weapon of choice, her stealthy ice pick, but hid the danger in a promise of tempestuous pleasure.

In a Playboy interview, Stone said she had nightmares during the filming of Basic Instinct because she opened the door and went into the place where Catherine lived. She said, “Once you break the self-defined moral boundaries, and go beyond them, it affects your psyche.”

Obviously Sharon had excellent training on how to land a great role and how to approach the character, in her video and her interview with Huffington Post, Stone openly reveals what happened to her, and how she got the role in “Basic Instinct” two weeks later.
