The One Young World Summit Leading Africa Scholarships are a prestigious opportunity for young leaders from Africa to attend the annual One Young World Summit. The scholarships aim to empower and support exceptional individuals who are driving positive change in their communities and beyond.
The annual One Young World Summit convenes 2,000 young leaders, from 190+ countries to develop solutions to the world’s big challenges. They connect, share learnings, and are inspired by political, business and humanitarian leaders such as Justin Trudeau, Paul Polman and Mary Robinson.
Delegates return to their communities and organisations as One Young World Ambassadors with the connections, insights, and motivation to act, accessing the global community of 15,500+ young leaders to accelerate existing social impact initiatives or establish new ventures.
One Young World strives to identify the most impactful young leaders from every country in the world. Scholarships provide the opportunity for exceptional young people to attend on the merit of their proven leadership and ability to create change in their home country. Leading Africa is an initiative designed to ensure that outstanding young people from Africa are represented at One Young World Summits.
Young leaders across Africa are devising meaningful strategies to build a more sustainable region. Are you one of those leaders? If so, One Young World is looking to bring you to our next annual Summit.
The One Young World Summit brings together young leaders from around the world to discuss and address pressing global challenges. It provides a platform for networking, learning, and collaboration, with sessions focused on topics such as climate change, social entrepreneurship, human rights, and sustainable development.
The Leading Africa Scholarships cover the cost of attending the One Young World Summit, including registration fees, accommodation, and travel expenses. They are awarded to young leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to making a difference in Africa and who show potential to become future change-makers.
Recipients of the Leading Africa Scholarships have the opportunity to engage with other delegates from diverse backgrounds, participate in workshops and discussions, and gain insights from influential speakers and mentors. They are encouraged to share their experiences, ideas, and initiatives to inspire and mobilize others to take action.
The One Young World Summit Leading Africa Scholarships are a testament to the commitment of One Young World and its partners to empowering young African leaders and driving positive change on the continent. By providing access to this transformative experience, the scholarships aim to amplify the voices of African youth, catalyze innovative solutions to Africa’s challenges, and contribute to building a more sustainable and inclusive future for all.
