University of Winnipeg, Canada is currently awarding up to $48,000 Application-Required Entrance International Scholarships towards student’s study costs at UWinninpeg.
This scholarship opportunity is for all students who are new to The University of Winnipeg and have not taken credits or completed a degree there before.
The Richardson College for the Environment & Science Complex accommodates over 2,000 students, faculty, staff and visitors daily. As one of the most innovative Science Complexes in Canada, their renowned professors, graduate and undergraduate students are researching and studying the most challenging issues faced: climate change, isotope productions and cancer tests, and pollutants in our air and lakes. Their state-of-the-art Axworthy Health and RecPlex offers new research and student practicum opportunities in kinesiology, education and applied health. The RecPlex offers sports and recreation programs for students, Wesmen athletes and the broader community.
The University of Winnipeg received its charter in 1967 but its roots date back more than 145 years and is noted for academic excellence, Indigenous scholarship, environmental commitment, small class sizes and campus diversity.
The founding colleges were Manitoba College (1871), and Wesley College (1888), which merged to form United College in 1938.
Eligibility criteria for the Application-Required Entrance International Scholarships.
- Applicants must be new students at UWinnipeg.
- Applicants must have a minimum 85% grade average from the grade 12 high school courses used for general admission or a relevant bachelor’s degree qualification.
- Applicants must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
- TOEFL IBT – 86
- IELTS – 6.5
- CanTEST – 4.5
- C1/C2 – 180
- CAEL & CAEL CE – 60
- CAEL Online – 70
- PTE – 58
- ELP – Level 5
