The Cate Haste International Master’s Scholarship of £3,000 for an applicant starting a course in Media in September 2022.
Why study at the University of Sussex? At Sussex, students learn from some of the best university teachers and researchers in the UK, who work at the forefront of their fields. Students will gain vital skills such as problem-solving, decision-making under uncertainty, intercultural communication, and corporate context awareness.
University of Sussex design their own academic structure, including pioneering the notion of ‘interdisciplinarity’ by combining separate but related subject areas into the curriculum. This is now the standard for universities. As well as intellectual freedom, they offered a bold new environment shaped by Sir Basil Spence’s daring architecture, the natural beauty of the Sussex countryside, and the emergence of Brighton as one of the hippest towns in Swinging Sixties Britain.Things have changed – but not a lot.
They still have one of the UK’s most vibrant student communities, with individuals whose compassion, energy and commitment leads them to make real and positive change beyond Sussex. The cool campus is perennially adored and revered. And researchers and educators never stop pushing at and crossing intellectual boundaries – from the development of quantum technology to advancing the most effective and innovative ways to save the planet. For their diamond jubilee year the Institution is planning a range of live and streamed public events to celebrate our great achievements and those who helped make them. And they’re looking ahead to what can be done to be a better university for a better world.
